- BCAAs trigger MPS but can’t sustain it without the other EAAs.
- If your protein is adequate, BCAAs add little.
- EAAs can help when whole protein is impractical (very long sessions, between meals, elderly).
Priority Order
- Meet daily protein (1.6–2.2 g/kg; 2.0–2.4 g/kg when cutting).
- Use whey/food first.
- EAAs only for edge cases.
- BCAAs: niche use for fasted endurance or if protein is very low.
